Jetour Puts Pets in the Spotlight at Annual Media Pet Day

A fluffy brown dog enjoys a gentle head pat during Jetour Philippines’ Media Pet Day at Barkhaus Eastwood.

The sound of playful barks and happy laughter filled Barkhaus Eastwood as Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. (JAPI) hosted its second Annual Media Pet Day on August 20, ahead of International Dog Day. The gathering brought together media friends, their pets, and the Jetour family for an afternoon celebrating companionship and responsible pet ownership.

Far from the usual motoring affair, the event highlighted JAPI’s belief that family includes furry members as well. It also gave the company a chance to strengthen ties with the media in a relaxed and personal setting.

The celebration featured fun contests, interactive sessions, and plenty of activities for both humans and pets. With its pet-friendly setup, Barkhaus Eastwood proved to be an ideal venue for socializing, bonding, and sharing stories among fellow animal lovers.

For Jetour, the day reflected its wider mission: building connections and communities that go beyond cars. Marketing Director Cherry May Moreno-De Los Santos expressed joy at seeing both familiar and new faces return for what is becoming a beloved tradition. “Much like the lifelong relationship we have with our pets, we want Jetour’s bond with our customers to be one of trust, loyalty, and joy,” she said.

To extend the celebration to the public, Jetour also held a vehicle display at Eastwood Mall, showcasing its current lineup, including the sporty Dashing series, the family-sized 7-seater X70, and the rugged T2 4×4 SUV.

The event reinforced Jetour’s message: journeys are not just about destinations, but also about the bonds and memories made along the way. True to that spirit, all Jetour dealerships across the country remain pet-friendly, welcoming families to shop for their next car without leaving their furry companions behind.

GTA VI leak hunt widens

Published

on

Take-Two Interactive has secured federal subpoenas requiring Microsoft and Discord to provide data that could identify the source of recent Grand Theft Auto VI leaks.

Two federal judges in New York approved the requests on Friday after Take-Two filed them a day earlier. The Rockstar Games parent company is seeking records linked to three accounts suspected of distributing unreleased material under the name Cyberleek.

The company used a process under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, which allows copyright owners to request information that could reveal alleged infringers.

Its filings describe the leaked material as copyrighted audiovisual content, artwork, images, dialogue and other creative elements. However, neither Take-Two nor Rockstar has publicly confirmed that the clips circulating online are genuine GTA VI footage.

Microsoft received a subpoena because it owns GitHub, where some of the material was allegedly posted. Discord was named because the clips were shared through chatrooms on its platform.

Take-Two is asking Microsoft for records connected to the Cyberleek account and information from the company’s internal investigation. The request to Discord covers identifying details for named accounts and users who communicated through servers linked to the leaks.

Microsoft and Discord have until September 4 to respond.

Cyberleek claims the releases are intended to protest some of the video game industry’s business practices. Rockstar has faced criticism over plans to sell GTA VI only as a digital release and offer a higher-priced version with additional content.

New footage continued to appear on Friday, including a clip that reportedly shows a character stealing a sports car. Rockstar and Take-Two have not issued public statements about the videos.

The leaks come during a tightly managed promotional campaign for one of the industry’s most anticipated releases. GTA VI pre-orders opened in late June, while an exclusive extended presentation is scheduled to appear on Netflix on August 27.

The game is due for worldwide release on November 19 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.

Set in a fictional region inspired by Florida, GTA VI arrives more than 13 years after GTA V. Its predecessor is the second-best-selling video game in history.

Relief Rolls In

Published

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has delivered relief assistance to families affected by the recent earthquake in Glan, Sarangani, through a joint effort with Isuzu General Santos and the Local Government Unit of Barangay Burias.

The activity reached 250 families in Barangay Burias, one of the areas heavily affected by the earthquake. Each family received relief packs containing hygiene kits, bottled water, and food supplies.

The aid was intended for residents dealing with damaged homes, blocked roads, limited access to markets, and disrupted access to basic necessities.

Senior citizens and residents from nearby coastal communities were among those given attention during the distribution, as damaged local stores and road obstructions made it harder for them to obtain essential goods.

IPC Assistant Vice President for Administration Imelda Bernas represented the company during the turnover.

“IPC believes that being a responsible corporate citizen means standing beside our communities, especially during difficult times. Through this relief initiative, we hope to provide not only essential supplies but also encouragement and reassurance to the families of Barangay Burias as they recover from the effects of the earthquake. We are grateful to our partners at Isuzu General Santos and the Barangay Local Government Unit for making this meaningful initiative possible,” Bernas said.

Barangay Captain Venancio Siao Wata III thanked IPC and Isuzu General Santos for extending support to the community.

“On behalf of the people of Barangay Burias, we sincerely thank Isuzu Philippines Corporation and Isuzu General Santos for their generosity and compassion. Your support has brought much-needed relief to our residents, particularly our senior citizens and families who continue to face the challenges brought about by the earthquake. Your kindness reminds our community that we are not alone during these difficult times,” Wata said.

IPC said the relief activity reflects its continuing corporate social responsibility work, with support extended through partnerships that respond to community needs beyond mobility.

The company said it hopes the assistance will help ease the burden of affected families as Sarangani communities continue their recovery.

The activities covered volunteer work under Brigada Eskwela, school maintenance support, donation of cleaning materials and distribution of basic school supplies to learners.

In Mabalacat City, Pampanga, Maxim took part in Brigada Eskwela at Mabiga Elementary School on 3 June 2026. The company said 190 Maxim riders volunteered for campus maintenance and improvement activities to help prepare the school for the new academic year.

In Batangas City, 21 Maxim riders joined Brigada Eskwela efforts at Alangilan Central Elementary School and Sampaga Elementary School, also on 3 June. The volunteers helped with school maintenance work and turned over school supplies and cleaning materials for students and teachers.

Maxim also carried out a school supply distribution program at Lanzones Elementary School in Zamboanga City. Riders distributed notebooks, pencils, rulers and other basic learning materials to students.

School officials, teachers, students and Maxim driver-partners attended the Zamboanga activity, which formed part of the company’s community support programs.

Maxim said the initiatives reflect its continuing support for education and community development in areas where it operates. The company also cited its other social programs, including disaster relief operations, clean-up drives and outreach activities.
