Corrections Policy

Ride Network welcomes specific, evidence-based correction requests. Accuracy concerns may be submitted through the Contact Us page. Please include the article title or URL, the statement in question and a reliable source that supports the requested change.

How corrections are reviewed

An editor checks the published material against the original sources and any new evidence provided. We may contact the person or organization named in the story when additional verification is required.

Material corrections

A factual error that changes the meaning of a story should be corrected promptly. The page should include a note explaining the substance of the correction and, when useful, the date it was made.

Minor fixes

Spelling, punctuation, formatting and other minor errors may be corrected without a separate note when the change does not alter the meaning or context.

Updates

A story may be updated when new verified information becomes available. An update is not necessarily a correction. Significant additions should be identified when readers need to understand how the story changed.

Removal requests

Published material is not normally removed solely because it has become inconvenient or unfavorable. Removal may be considered when there is a clear legal, safety or privacy reason, or when the material cannot be corrected adequately.

Correction requests are assessed on evidence and editorial judgment. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a change will be made.
