RideNetwork opens free EV charging directory for everyone

Developed by RideMeme.com, the public platform maps more than 1,100 charging points nationwide, with station details, nearby amenities and user-submitted status reports
Filipino motorists looking for electric vehicle charging stations have a free nationwide directory that brings charging facilities from different operators onto a single interactive map, accessible to everyone without registration, subscription or an app download.
Developed by RideMeme.com for RideNetwork.ph, the EV Charging and Battery Swapping Station Directory allows electric car owners and motorcycle riders to locate charging and battery-swapping facilities across Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Launched less than two months ago, the web-based platform initially mapped 1,102 operational EV charging points at 536 locations, comprising 810 AC charging points and 292 DC fast-charging points. It also included 49 battery-swapping units at 19 locations.
The directory covers charging facilities at shopping malls, fuel stations, automotive dealerships, hotels, restaurants, commercial developments and independently operated charging hubs.
Users can search by station, city or province, explore charging locations on an interactive map, check connector types and identify facilities suited to their vehicles.
Individual station pages also provide addresses, operating hours, charging infrastructure details, payment information where available and directions through mapping services.

The directory identifies nearby amenities such as restaurants, coffee shops, restrooms, convenience stores, parking facilities and other services that motorists may need during a charging stop.

Motorists share their experiences
For EV owners who regularly travel between cities or provinces, finding suitable charging stops before leaving home is an important part of planning a journey.
The directory allows drivers to look up charging locations along their intended route and check the information available for each station.
“I used to search online for charging stations whenever I planned a trip outside Metro Manila. With this directory, I can see different locations on one map and check my options before leaving. It’s convenient, especially when I’m going somewhere unfamiliar,” said Joseph Roldan, an electric vehicle owner from Laguna.
Beyond locating charging stations, motorists can contribute information that other users may find useful.
Through the directory’s Check In / Report feature, users can submit feedback on charging station conditions, including whether equipment is working.

Recent community reports appear alongside station information, which gives motorists an additional reference before travelling to a charging location.
These reports supplement official and operator-provided records, particularly when equipment problems or changes in accessibility have not yet appeared in published station information.
Another useful feature is the directory’s information on amenities available around charging facilities. Motorists can check nearby restaurants, coffee shops, restrooms and other conveniences before selecting a location.
“Sometimes I find a charging station online, but I don’t know much about the place until I get there. I like that this directory shows the station details and what’s nearby. I can also check reports from other users before making the trip,” said Angela Nario, a motorist from Quezon City.

The directory also serves prospective electric vehicle buyers who want to examine charging infrastructure near their homes, workplaces and regular destinations.
Electric motorcycle users can search for battery-swapping facilities through the same platform, with charging and swapping locations identified separately on the map.
Free public access
The platform operates directly through a web browser on smartphones, tablets and computers. Visitors can explore the map and review station information without creating an account.
Charging sessions and payments remain subject to the requirements of individual charging operators.
The directory provides motorists with a common starting point for locating facilities before proceeding to their chosen charging provider.
“The information is already out there, but finding the right charging location can take time, particularly when drivers are unfamiliar with an area,” Ridenetwork shared.
“We wanted to bring those locations together and give motorists a way to share updates that others can use.”
The project also provides charging station operators and commercial establishments with additional public exposure by making their locations discoverable alongside other facilities across the country.
Growing motoring audience
The directory’s introduction comes as RideMeme.com expands its audience through its automotive news and information services.
RideMeme’s Facebook professional dashboard recorded 2.5 million views over its latest 28-day reporting period, an increase of 518 percent from the preceding period.
Engagement reached 77,350 interactions, approximately 19 times the previous reporting period.
The expanding audience gives RideMeme another means of introducing motorists to the free directory and encouraging participation through station feedback.
Originally developed to make automotive news research easier, RideMeme.com brings together motoring publications, carmaker announcements, industry developments and other automotive information in one online platform.
Its work has expanded to practical mobility tools, including the EV Charging and Battery Swapping Station Directory developed for RideNetwork.ph.
As more charging facilities become available around the Philippines, the directory will continue to accommodate new station information and updates to existing locations.
Future development will concentrate on expanding coverage, improving station data and strengthening community feedback to help motorists make better decisions about their charging stops.
