GAC GN8 PHEV Executive pairs VIP comfort with 1,000-km range

GAC Philippines is putting comfort at the center of its flagship people mover with the GN8 PHEV Executive, a seven-seat plug-in hybrid MPV designed for customers who spend long hours on the road.
The GN8 PHEV Executive sits at the top of GAC’s MPV lineup and carries an introductory price of P3.338 million. Its appeal centers on an upscale second row, a plug-in hybrid system and a combined driving range of more than 1,000 kilometers.

Much of the cabin’s attention goes to the second-row captain’s chairs. Each offers four-way powered leg rests, position memory, heating and ventilation, along with multi-mode massage functions.
Passengers can also use the One Touch Spa Mode and Zero Gravity seat settings, features intended to make long trips and heavy Metro Manila traffic more comfortable.

GAC complements the seats with its Zero Breeze air-conditioning system, which uses more than 1,600 micro-vents to distribute air around the cabin instead of directing a strong draft at occupants.
The system works with tri-zone climate control and a plasma purifier. Six-directional seat vibration dampers help reduce the effect of rough roads, while acoustic glass is used to limit outside noise.

The GN8 PHEV Executive also caters to passengers who need to work or stay entertained while traveling.
A 14.6-inch central touchscreen supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the driver gets a full LCD instrument cluster. Second-row passengers have access to an overhead display and folding tray tables that can accommodate laptops, food or other items.
Audio comes through a 16-speaker Yamaha sound system.
Under the body is a 2.0-liter turbocharged Miller-cycle gasoline engine paired with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor and a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.

The system produces a combined 373 horsepower and 630 Newton-meters of torque. GAC says the GN8 can travel up to 120 kilometers on electric power and more than 1,000 kilometers when the gasoline engine and battery are used together.
DC fast charging is supported, with the battery capable of going from 30 to 80 percent in about 45 minutes.
The battery can also power the vehicle’s 220-volt outlet. When parked, it can keep the Zero Breeze air-conditioning system operating without running the gasoline engine.
GAC says the high-voltage system uses thermal management to cope with high temperatures. The battery and motor components also use sealed insulation intended to protect them from heavy rain and splashes.
Electronic Stability Program, traction control, Hill Descent Control and anti-lock brakes with Hydraulic Brake Assist are among the listed safety systems.
The GN8 PHEV Executive has a suggested retail price of P3.488 million. GAC’s introductory offer cuts P150,000 from that figure, taking the price to P3.338 million for qualifying reservations made until December 31, 2026.
Available exterior colors include Blade Shadow White, Temple Gold and Elegant Black, paired with a red-and-black interior.
Reservations and test-drive bookings are open at GAC dealerships nationwide.
GAC Philippines currently operates 30 dealerships and provides two years of free roadside assistance. The GN8 PHEV is covered by a five-year or 150,000-km basic warranty, while its power battery, drive motor and motor control unit are covered for eight years or 150,000 km.
