BYD, DENZA open EV week

BYD Cars Philippines and DENZA Philippines begin their four-day Super Experience Week in Bonifacio Global City on October 8, with vehicle displays, test drives and previews scheduled through October 11.

The event is open to the public with free admission at the BGC Amphitheater and 5th Avenue. It puts the two brands’ latest electrified vehicles and technologies on display, with activities spread across several areas in BGC.

BYD will feature models including the Sealion 6 DM-i and Tang DM-i at the BGC Amphitheater. Its full local lineup will also be available for viewing and test drives at the BGC Garden.

The program includes the Drive Electric, EV Safety Program, which is designed to give EV owners and enthusiasts more information about electric vehicle use and safety.

Guests can also avail themselves of event-only offers across the BYD lineup during Super Experience Week.

“The best way to understand electric mobility is to experience it and this week is where Filipinos can do exactly that,” BYD Cars Philippines managing director Bob Palanca said.

Palanca said the EV Safety Program and hands-on activities are intended to give owners and prospective buyers more confidence as electric vehicles gain wider acceptance in the Philippines.

DENZA, meanwhile, will showcase its growing premium new energy vehicle lineup. The D9, B5 and B8 will be among the models on display.

One of the main attractions is an advance preview of the DENZA Z9 GT, which is targeted for an official Philippine launch in the first quarter of 2027. DENZA has also opened reservations for the model ahead of its market introduction.

Activities expand on October 10 and 11, when 5th Avenue will host additional vehicle displays.

BYD’s ultra-luxury YANGWANG models will be shown during the weekend, while the DENZA B5 and B8 and the BYD Shark 6 DMO will be part of a dedicated street exhibition.

Visitors can also test-drive vehicles from both BYD and DENZA during the four-day program.

“Super Experience Week gives us the opportunity to bring our customers and the public closer to the technologies and vehicles that are shaping the future of mobility,” BYD and DENZA Philippines country head Adam Hu said.

Hu said the event also gives DENZA a chance to show more of its expanding lineup and provide visitors with an early look at the Z9 GT before its Philippine launch.

Super Experience Week runs from October 8 to 11 at the BGC Amphitheater and 5th Avenue. Admission is free.
