Toyota Tamaraw Shows Its Many Sides

Published

on

Toyota Motor Philippines will display several versions of the Next Generation Tamaraw at four events in Manila and Cebu from September 9 to 13, highlighting the vehicle’s range of business and lifestyle applications.

The Tamaraw will appear at the Asia Food Expo, PURVEYR Fair, Philippine Building and Construction Expo Cebu and the Diecast Car Collectors of the Philippines Grandparents Day Pit Stop.

Toyota introduced the latest Tamaraw in 2024 with a configurable platform that can support passenger transport, cargo hauling, refrigerated deliveries and mobile businesses.

At the Asia Food Expo from September 9 to 12 at the World Trade Center, Toyota will feature the Utility Van, GL Dropside, Wing Van and Refrigerator Van configurations.

The event covers food processing, packaging, handling equipment and related technology. Toyota said the display will give food and beverage operators a closer look at the different ways the Tamaraw can be used for daily operations.

The GL Dropside will also be displayed at PHILBEX Cebu from September 10 to 13 at the IEC Convention Center Cebu.

Test drives will be available during the construction and design industry event. The Dropside configuration offers an open cargo area suited to carrying equipment and materials, while its platform can also accommodate more specialized conversions.

Toyota will present a different side of the Tamaraw at the PURVEYR Fair on September 12 and 13 at the World Trade Center Tent.

Two GL Dropside units will be turned into a DJ booth and a pop-up flower store. Both installations use the vehicle’s open rear section to create mobile spaces for entertainment and retail.

The DJ booth will host Waff, Roy De Borja, Okami, Average Bri, Nix Damn P! and J Dope on September 12.

Okami, ADMV, Michiko, Nix Damn P!, Butta B and Yela Renee will perform on September 13.

A Tamaraw Food Truck will also be deployed at the fair in support of Waves For Water. The conversion will demonstrate how a mobile business setup can also carry an advocacy.

A GL Dropside will make another appearance at the DCPH Grandparents Day Pit Stop from September 12 to 13 at Cash & Carry Makati.

Toyota said the Tamaraw has attracted attention from the local diecast community because its modular design offers possibilities for artistic expression and leisure alongside conventional business uses.

The four displays will allow visitors to compare factory variants and customized conversions within their intended settings. Test drives, however, will be offered only at PHILBEX Cebu.
