Maxim rolls out new car fares in four cities

Published

on

Maxim Rides & Food Delivery has introduced new car-service rates in Davao City, General Santos City, Tacloban City and Tagbilaran City.

The Car 4-seater service has a base fare of ₱45, while rides under the Car 6-seater category start at ₱55. The final fare depends on the distance of the shortest route.

Passengers can see the cost in the Maxim app before confirming a booking. Unlike traditional taxis that use meters, the platform calculates the price in advance to help customers plan their expenses and reduce the risk of fare manipulation.

Maxim said the services use newer air-conditioned vehicles and are handled by legally operating driver-partners.

“The new rates give passengers more choices for getting around their cities at competitive prices,” Maxim Rides & Food Delivery President Andres Morales Jr. said.

“We want to provide a reliable and comfortable transportation option that meets their everyday needs,” he added.

The company is also opening the service to people who want to earn using their personal vehicles. Maxim said newly registered driver-partners can accept bookings with zero commission.

Commission rates for existing driver-partners are calculated individually, according to the company. Maxim said its rates allow drivers to retain a larger share of their earnings.

Maxim began operating in the Philippines in 2020, with Cebu as its first market. It has since expanded to 22 other cities across the country.

The platform offers passenger transportation and delivery services through the Maxim passenger app and the Taxsee Driver app used by its driver-partners.
