TVS iQube Arrives in Philippines at P99,800

TVS Motor Company has opened Philippine bookings for the TVS iQube electric scooter, with the model introduced at a special price of P99,800.

The iQube made its local debut during Wheeltek’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition at the Mall of Asia, where TVS also displayed other electric models from its portfolio.

The Philippine-spec TVS iQube 3.5 uses two lithium-ion battery packs with a combined capacity of 3.5 kWh. TVS lists a real-world riding distance of 115 kilometers per charge.

A hub-mounted electric motor produces peak power of 4.6 kW and allows the scooter to reach a top speed of 82 km/h. It can accelerate from zero to 40 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

Charging from zero to 80 percent takes two hours and 55 minutes through the supplied 950-watt portable charger.

The scooter also gets 32 liters of underseat storage and a seven-inch TFT display.

Its SmartXonnect connected system provides turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, geofencing and riding and charging information. Anti-theft functions and crash or fall alerts are also included.

Other equipment includes forward and reverse parking assistance. The battery management system provides controlled protection, while the scooter carries an IP67 waterproof rating.

TVS offers a five-year or 60,000-kilometer warranty for the battery and motor, whichever comes first.

Straight Blue and Mercury Grey are the two available colors.

TVS Motor Company said the iQube has already surpassed one million customers globally before its Philippine introduction.

“The TVS iQube has now surpassed 1 million customers globally, and its entry into the Philippines is a significant milestone in our electric mobility journey,” TVS Motor Company Vice President for EV International Business Madhu Prakash Singh said.

Singh said the P99,800 introductory price is intended to make electric mobility more accessible to Filipino customers.

TVS Senior Vice President for ASEAN James Chan said the company also used the Wheeltek event to display the TVS Orbiter and TVS King EV Max as it expands its electric vehicle presence in the country.

Wheeltek’s two-day anniversary exhibition gathered several automotive and mobility brands at the Mall of Asia.

The iQube joins a growing selection of electric two-wheelers available to Philippine buyers as manufacturers introduce more battery-powered alternatives for urban travel.
