Million Riders Strong

Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) has crossed a major mark after surpassing 1 million cumulative retail sales from October 2024 to September 2025, reinforcing its lead in the two-wheel market and its push to bring accessible mobility to Filipinos.

Four of the brand’s top movers are built locally in the Philippines, namely the CLICK125, BeAT, XRM125, and TMX125 Alpha. These models anchor HPI’s presence in daily commuting and small business use, while keeping parts and service support close to riders.
In the automatic segment, the CLICK125 remains a bestseller with its sporty styling, fuel-efficient engine, and digital meter panel. Young riders continue to pick the BeAT for its compact size and playful look. For those who want more power and safety, the ADV160 offers long-ride comfort plus Honda Selectable Torque Control.
Underbone demand stays strong with the versatile XRM125 on city streets and provincial roads. For work and hauling needs, the TMX125 Alpha is still a go-to choice thanks to its durability, easy handling, and solid fuel economy.
“This milestone is not just a reflection of our sales success, but also of the strong bond we’ve built with our riders through the years,” said Takeshi Kobayashi, President of Honda Philippines, Inc., adding that HPI will continue to roll out reliable and innovative models for Filipino lifestyles.
HPI said it remains focused on performance, safety, and rider satisfaction as it builds toward its next million.

Daquigan Double

Honda Philippines’ 16-year-old talent Alfonsi Daquigan swept Round 5 of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup at Mandalika, taking Race 1 and Race 2 to become the first Filipino rider to win an ATC race and then back it up on the same weekend. The October 4 to 5 event at Indonesia’s Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit capped a statement performance from the young Filipino.

Daquigan overcame a double long-lap penalty in Race 1 and still crossed the line first. The Sunday rematch was cleaner and just as decisive as he sealed the double, moving up to third in the overall standings after Round 5.

Honda Philippines said the result reflected Daquigan’s discipline, consistency, and drive as he battled the best youth riders across Asia while carrying the flag on the international stage.

Suzuki Philippines introduces the all-new Access scooter for city commuters

Suzuki Philippines has launched the all-new Access scooter during its “All Access” grand event on October 4, 2025, at Market! Market! in Taguig City. The launch marked the local debut of Suzuki’s latest 125cc scooter built for daily urban rides.

Two versions were presented to the public: the standard Access, priced at ₱84,900, and the Ride Connect Edition, priced at ₱93,900. Both are powered by a 124cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled SOHC engine with fuel injection under Suzuki’s Eco Performance technology for better power and fuel efficiency.

The scooter uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and comes with a front disc brake and rear drum brake. It features telescopic front suspension and a swingarm-type rear suspension with coil springs and oil damping for smoother travel on city roads. The tubeless tires are sized 90/90-12 at the front and 90/100-10 at the rear.

Suzuki lists the Access with an overall length of 1,835 mm, width of 690 mm, and height of 1,155 mm. It has a 1,260 mm wheelbase, 160 mm ground clearance, 770 mm seat height, and a 5.3-liter fuel tank. The scooter weighs 106 kg in running condition.

Among its convenient features are an external fuel filler cap for refueling without lifting the seat and a spacious underseat compartment for storage. The Ride Connect Edition adds a digital instrument panel that links to the Suzuki Ride Connect app, which displays navigation and call alerts.

The Access is available in four color options: Solid Ice Green, Metallic Matte Black, Pearl Grace White, and Metallic Matte Stellar Blue. Suzuki claims the model can achieve up to 57.3 kilometers per liter based on the World Motorcycle Test Cycle standard.

Visitors at the “All Access” event were able to test the scooter through the Access Smart Experience area, where they could try short rides around the venue. Guests also received complimentary drinks at the “Access Café,” creating a relaxed and interactive launch experience.

The Access and Ride Connect Edition come with a two-year or 20,000-kilometer warranty, whichever comes first. Customers who purchase before December 31, 2025, will also get a free Suzuki Access helmet.

Through this new launch, Suzuki Philippines aims to offer an accessible scooter that blends efficiency, comfort, and smart features for everyday riders in the city.

PCXceptional Ride Rolls On

Honda Philippines gathered media and moto vloggers on August 29, 2025 for the PCXceptional Ride, a real-world loop from the Honda Safety Driving Center in Parañaque to Café Cecilia in Tanay. The route mixed city traffic, climbs, and countryside roads to highlight where the all-new PCX160 works best out on the open road.

Riders sampled both Standard and RoadSync variants. On the twisty stretches, the 157 cc liquid-cooled ESP+ engine delivered smooth pull with rated outputs of 11.8 kW at 8,500 rpm and 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Fuel economy of 46 km/L kept stops few, while the spacious foot area helped comfort over a long morning ride.

Control features stood out in changing weather. The RoadSync type’s ABS boosted stability under hard braking, and Honda Selectable Torque Control helped manage traction during quick bursts. Its twin rear shocks with subtanks provided calm damping over rough patches. The Standard type countered with a dependable Combi Brake System on front and rear discs.

Styling details drew attention in traffic. New all-LED lighting sharpened the look, and colorways earned nods from passing riders. The RoadSync type comes in Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Fadeless White. The Standard offers Vortex Red Metallic, Pearl Fadeless White, and Matte Bullet Silver.

Day-to-day usability was a major talking point. The Honda Smart Key with immobilizer simplified start-ups and added peace of mind at stopovers. A USB Type-C port kept phones charged, and a 30-liter luggage box swallowed jackets and small bags without fuss.

The RoadSync type layered in connected tech. With a paired smartphone, riders used turn-by-turn navigation, music, calls, and messages through the multi-function left switch and voice HMI. A 5-inch TFT display improved visibility in bright sun and at dusk. The passing light switch helped with safe overtakes.
The ride ended at Café Cecilia with snacks and rider debriefs. Honda Philippines said the event underlined its goal to deliver stylish, practical, and tech-forward scooters for Filipino riders. The PCX160 Standard is priced at Php 133,400, while the RoadSync type lists at Php 154,900, available nationwide.
“We are fully committed to bringing the joy of mobility and beyond to every Filipino, and continuing to elevate your riding experience with the all-new PCX160 where elegance meets truly exceptional performance,” said Apple Magaling, Motorcycle Planning Department Manager at Honda Philippines.
