JOYEE prepares S04, S08 and N09 electrified models for October 22 Manila launch

FAWCAR’s new energy vehicle brand JOYEE will introduce three models in Manila on October 22, expanding its electrified vehicle lineup in the Philippines with an electric SUV, a hybrid family SUV and a premium coupe.
The upcoming models are the JOYEE S04, S08 and N09, each designed for different driving needs, from daily city travel to long-distance family trips.

The introduction is part of FAWCAR’s expansion in overseas markets, including the Philippines, where the company has maintained a presence through its automotive operations.
FAWCAR operates under China’s FAW Group, which has more than 70 years of automotive manufacturing experience and cumulative vehicle production and sales exceeding 65 million units.
Its two major brands are BESTUNE, which specializes in conventional gasoline-powered vehicles, and JOYEE, which develops electric and hybrid models. FAWCAR reports combined production and sales of more than 2.2 million vehicles.
The smallest of the three upcoming models, the JOYEE S04, is a fully electric urban SUV designed for young families and everyday commuting.

According to the company, the S04 delivers a driving range of up to 565 kilometers and energy consumption of 11.8 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers.
It has a 2,750-millimeter wheelbase, an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.248 and a panoramic glass roof with heat insulation.
The S04 also uses high-polymer carbon nano-coated battery technology. Its body incorporates high-strength steel and door impact beams rated at 2,000 megapascals.
The JOYEE S08, meanwhile, is a full-size hybrid SUV intended for larger families.

It uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine developed for hybrid operation and offers a claimed electric-only driving range of 210 kilometers.
Its combined driving range reaches 1,555 kilometers, while fuel consumption can be as low as 3.9 liters per 100 kilometers when the battery charge is low, according to FAWCAR.
The S08 also features a reinforced body structure, an IP68-rated waterproof battery system and seats made from bio-based materials that the company says contain no formaldehyde.
Completing the lineup is the JOYEE N09, a premium flagship coupe available with fully electric and range-extended powertrains.

The N09 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit platform and comes equipped with a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system, frameless power doors and nine airbags.
Its specifications include an 800-volt electrical architecture, support for 6C fast charging and acceleration from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.4 seconds.
The N09 has also received international design awards, according to the manufacturer.
FAWCAR said it has worked to adapt its vehicles to Philippine driving conditions, including high temperatures, heavy rainfall and congested urban roads.
The company is positioning the three upcoming models across different vehicle segments as it develops its presence in the local new energy vehicle market.
Philippine prices, final local specifications and delivery schedules for the S04, S08 and N09 have not been disclosed.
Multifortune Motors Incorporated, based along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City, is the authorized local distributor listed in the announcement.
