GAC Philippines launches Front Seat Faces challenge at UAAP and PBA games

GAC Philippines is giving basketball fans a chance to show off their acting skills with Front Seat Faces, a new courtside activity featuring humorous situations familiar to Filipino motorists.

The interactive challenge is part of the company’s “Go Above Competition” sports marketing campaign with Cignal TV and TV5, covering UAAP Season 89 and the PBA Governors’ Cup.
During timeouts and quarter breaks, selected representatives of competing teams will face off by acting out driving-related situations announced by the game host. The challenge is to produce the funniest or most convincing facial expression, with exclusive prizes from GAC Philippines awaiting the participants.

The scenarios draw inspiration from everyday experiences behind the wheel. These include getting caught picking one’s nose at a stoplight, spilling hot coffee on a white shirt before work, or discovering that a laptop was left at home before an important presentation.
Other situations involve spotting a favorite basketball player along the road, accidentally leaving a microphone on during an online meeting inside a car, or hearing a radio announcer declare a vehicle’s license plate number a contest winner.

Some challenges take a more imaginative turn, such as encountering a ghostly white lady while driving along Balete Drive or reacting to an unpleasant smell from a passenger.
“Sports isn’t just about intense competition on the hardwood, it is also about bringing fans together and sharing memorable, joy-filled moments,” said Calvin Cheng, president of GAC Philippines.
“Through Front Seat Faces, we want to bring a lighter, playful twist to game day while showcasing how GAC vehicles fit seamlessly into every aspect of daily life.”

Alongside the fan activities, GAC Philippines is arranging vehicle displays at selected basketball venues throughout the season.
Among the featured vehicles are the AION UT electric hatchback and GN8 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid multi-purpose vehicle designed for families seeking additional passenger space and comfort.

Spectators will also have opportunities to examine other models in the company’s local lineup, including the AION V, E8 HEV, GS4 Max HEV, all-new GN6 and 2026 Emzoom.
The displays will allow visitors to inspect the vehicles’ interiors and learn about their available technologies.

The activities are part of GAC Philippines’ wider partnership with Cignal TV and TV5, which covers the Philippine Basketball Association, Premier Volleyball League and University Athletic Association of the Philippines.

Front Seat Faces will appear at upcoming UAAP and PBA games, giving spectators another opportunity to participate in the action during breaks in play.
Further announcements about the activities and vehicle displays will be available through GAC Philippines’ official social media accounts.
