VinFast, GSM Name New Global Leaders

VinFast and GSM have named new global leaders as part of a broader management transition within the Vingroup ecosystem, with younger executives taking on senior roles at the two mobility companies.

Pham Nhat Quan Anh has been appointed chief executive officer of VinFast Global, succeeding Pham Nhat Vuong. He will also serve as chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam while retaining his role as chairman of VinFast Global.

At GSM, Nguyen Quoc Tuan has been appointed chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Pham Thu Huong. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang will take over as CEO of GSM Global and will concurrently serve as CEO of GSM Vietnam.

The appointments come as Vingroup steps up the development of internal talent and transfers more leadership responsibilities to a younger generation of executives while VinFast and GSM continue their international expansion.

Quan Anh, born in 1993, was appointed chairman of VinFast Global in May. His expanded responsibilities now place him in charge of VinFast’s overall global and Vietnamese operations.

“I am deeply honored by the Board of Directors’ trust and confidence in entrusting me with the additional responsibility,” Quan Anh said.

He said VinFast would continue to build on its existing foundation while pursuing opportunities in sustainable mobility and maintaining product and service standards across its markets.

Quan Anh holds a bachelor’s degree from Singapore Management University and previously held leadership positions at VinFast and other companies within Vingroup.

He will also continue as CEO of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC, Vingroup’s steel manufacturing company.

GSM’s leadership structure is also changing. Nguyen Quoc Tuan moves from CEO to chairman of GSM Global, while Minh Hoang takes over the chief executive role.

Born in 2000, Minh Hoang has held senior positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future and GSM.

He is also an investor and major shareholder in several companies within the Vingroup ecosystem, including VinSpeed, VinEnergo, VinMetal, VinVentures and robotics businesses.

VinFast currently operates in 16 countries, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, markets in Europe and the Middle East, and North America.

Its electric cars and motorcycles are produced at four manufacturing facilities across Vietnam, Indonesia and India.

GSM operates the Green SM mobility brand in seven countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, India, Kazakhstan and Denmark.

The company plans to enter at least three more markets this year. It is also targeting a future international stock market listing as it develops into a global public company.

The management changes place a new generation of executives at the head of VinFast and GSM as both companies pursue their next stage of overseas growth.
