Inaugural Trail Venture Epic Trophy Takes Off This Weekend

Premier 4×4, off-Road & Overlanding Event Offers 3 Main Activities in 1 Fun Weekend at The Hamptons Caliraya

All roads lead to Cavinti, Caliraya, Laguna for the first-ever Train Venture Epic Trophy (TVET) that will be held from September 23-27, 2026 at The Hamptons Caliraya. The 5-day event features 3 main events – the Trophy 4×4 competition, the Camp for overlanding and moto-camping, and the Expo display and swap meet. With Regasco and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) as the main sponsors, TVET promises an exciting and unforgettable weekend under the stars.

TVET is the brainchild of Trail Venture Corporation, a group of 4×4, off-road, and overlanding enthusiasts led by actor, businessman and sportsman Albert Martinez. “The Trail Venture Epic Trophy is envisioned to be the penultimate 4×4 competition in the country,” stated Martinez. “The winning team will represent the Philippines in international 4×4 competitions in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. We plan to make TVET an annual event,” he added.  

Trophy 4×4 Competition (September 23-27)

The excitement starts on September 23 (Wednesday) with the arrival of the Trophy competitors and the scrutineering and inspection of their off-road machines. There will be a Ceremonial Flag-off at The Hamptons Clubhouse and a Motorcade around Caliraya, followed by some fellowship during the Welcome Dinner. The actual races start the next day (September 24, Thursday) when the Trophy competitors are given their first Team Task prior to the start of the Trail Competition.

The trail competition continues onto September 25 and 26 (Friday and Saturday) with the Regasco “Matira Matibay” Cup on the 26th. The competing teams are expected to arrive on the 27th (Sunday), when they will be challenged with the Final Team Tasks, Special Stages around The Hamptons, the continuation of the Regasco “Matira Matibay” Cup, and the much-anticipated awarding of the winning team with the TVET Perpetual Trophy.  

TVET Expo (September 25-27)

To help promote the 4×4, off-road, and overlanding lifestyle, the TVET Expo will open at 10:00 AM on the 25th (Friday) with a Media Tour before it opens to the public at 11:00 AM. There will be fun games and raffle draws between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM while a Fellowship Dinner will be held for the participating sponsors at 7:00 PM.

All throughout September 26 and 27 (Saturday and Sunday), there will be Test Drives of 4-wheel vehicles and Test Rides of motorcycles on-road and off. The fun games and raffle draws will continue throughout these two days, which will be capped by the arrival of the competing teams, the final Team Tasks, the Regasco “Matira Matibay” Cup, and the Awards Ceremonies. Expo visitors can also camp at The Hamptons if they wish to.

TVET Camp (September 25-27)

Several camping, glamping, 4×4 overlanding, and moto-camping clubs have expressed their participation to camp for 3 days, 2 nights at the grounds of the Hamptons Caliraya, “rain or storm”. The TVET Camp offers a Cook Fest, Remote Control (RC) Crawling and Outdoor Games for the family during the day. In the evening, there will be Live Acoustic Performances and an Outdoor Movie Night. The campers are expected to arrive and set up camp on the 25th (Friday) and enjoy the Outdoor Movie Screening and Cook-off Competition among other fun activities on the first day. 

On the 26th (Saturday), there will be an RC Crawling Competition and fun games in the morning with movie screenings, live acoustic performances, and a Fellowship BBQ in the evening. TVET organizers will also award the camper with the Best Camp Set-up during the fellowship. The campers will break camp on the 27th (Sunday) while some, especially the family and friends of the Trophy competitors, are planning to stay for the Trophy Awarding Ceremonies.

Exciting and Unforgettable Weekend

The registration fee for the 4×4 Overlanding is P3,000 and includes the camp slot for their rig, 2 event shirts, 2 event caps, event decal, Expo passport, raffle coupon and giveaways from sponsors. For the moto-campers, the registration fee is just P1,000 and includes the camp slot, 1 event shirt, decal, Expo passport and giveaways from sponsors. 

The Trail Venture Epic Trophy is presented by Regasco and PCSO and supported by Gigglepin winch systems, FastCat Ferry, Kawasaki Motors Philippines Corporation, 212/ROX, WRU, and AM4x4, in partnership with The Hamptons Caliraya, Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort, and Caliraya Springs Golf Club with the cooperation of the Laguna Provincial Government, the town of Cavinti, the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the PNP Highway Patrol group (HPG).
