VinFast VF 3 Tops BEV Sales

VinFast’s VF 3 has emerged as the Philippines’ best-selling battery-electric vehicle (BEV) model, recording 2,906 units sold from January to August 2026, according to figures cited by the company from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI).

The compact electric mini-SUV, nicknamed the “Tiny Titan,” secured the top position among BEV models as more Filipino motorists considered electric vehicles amid fluctuating fuel prices.

VinFast attributed the VF 3’s sales performance partly to its ownership programs, which are designed to reduce the initial cost of purchasing an EV and address concerns about long-term vehicle ownership.

Its Battery Subscription Policy allows customers to lower their upfront expenses, while the Residual Value Guarantee Program provides additional protection against depreciation under the program’s terms.

The Vietnamese automaker also offers free charging until March 31, 2029, through its growing charging network in the Philippines. These measures are intended to make electric vehicle ownership more affordable over time.

Antonio “Toti” Zara III, chief executive officer of VinFast Philippines, welcomed the sales milestone and thanked Filipino customers for their reception of the model.

“Achieving the number one spot is a milestone that demonstrates Filipino drivers’ readiness to embrace electric mobility when backed by an ecosystem that supports their entire journey,” Zara said.

He added that the company intends to continue developing its ownership programs and support network to make electric vehicles more accessible to Filipino motorists.

The VF 3’s compact dimensions have made it an option for buyers seeking a small electric vehicle for everyday use. VinFast has also positioned the model as an entry point for first-time EV owners.

Alongside its vehicle lineup, the manufacturer is expanding its dealership network and working with V-Green to develop additional charging facilities across the country.

Its ownership support includes battery subscription arrangements, resale value protection and aftersales services intended to address concerns among prospective EV buyers.

VinFast expects these programs, together with its wider dealership and charging coverage, to support continued demand for the VF 3 and its other electric vehicles.

The VF 3 is available for viewing and test drives at authorized VinFast dealerships nationwide.
