Fairthron Transport Service Cooperative has added 10 Hyundai Class 3 modern public utility vehicles (MPUVs) to its SM Fairview–SM North route, bringing its Hyundai fleet to 25 units.

The additional vehicles were inaugurated on October 26 at the Greater Lagro Barangay Hall in Quezon City, with Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), the official Philippine distributor of Hyundai Truck & Bus, joining the cooperative and government representatives.

Fairthron began operating Hyundai Class 3 MPUVs in 2022 with an initial fleet of 15 units. The latest acquisition will allow the cooperative to serve more passengers along the route under the government’s Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP).

The inauguration was attended by Fairthron chairman Angelito Roque and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board NCR regional director Atty. Zona Russet Tamayo.

HARI representatives included Timothy Magisa, assistant vice president for national sales, and Vanessa Estrella, assistant sales manager. Officials from other transport cooperatives also attended the ceremony.

“The addition of these units underscores the continued partnership between HARI and Fairthron Transport Service Cooperative in advancing public transport modernization,” said HARI vice chairman, president and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.

Perez-Agudo said Fairthron’s continued investment demonstrated its commitment to serving commuters along the route.

She added that providing transport cooperatives with dependable vehicles was important to supporting their operations and improving the accessibility and efficiency of public transportation in the Philippines.
