Geely Monjaro EM-i debuts at P1.868M

Geely Motor Philippines has officially launched the all-new Monjaro EM-i, a five-seat plug-in hybrid SUV priced at P1,868,000, during an event at Okada Manila on October 28.

The Monjaro EM-i combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with two electric motors and a three-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission. Its electronic all-wheel-drive system produces a combined 335 horsepower and 667 Nm of torque.

Geely claims the SUV can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 5.83 seconds, with a top speed of 190 km/h.

A 29.8-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provides up to 130 kilometers of electric-only driving, while the combined gasoline-electric range reaches 1,095 kilometers under the NEDC testing cycle.

The battery supports DC fast charging at up to 78 kW, allowing a 30 to 80 percent charge in approximately 15 minutes. The SUV also has vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle functions, with power output reaching 6 kW.

Inside, the Monjaro EM-i features a 15.4-inch infotainment display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a 16-speaker audio system.

Other cabin amenities include ventilated front seats with massage functions, a panoramic sunroof and 633 liters of cargo capacity.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and a 540-degree camera system.

Joey Zhu, Geely Motor Philippines senior sales director, said the model combines plug-in hybrid efficiency with features suited to everyday driving and longer journeys.

The Monjaro EM-i Luxury comes in four exterior colors. Buyers can receive a P60,000 launch discount and additional charging and equipment benefits until December 31, 2026.

Geely provides a six-year or 150,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and an eight-year, unlimited-mileage battery warranty.

The SUV is available for viewing and test drives at authorized Geely dealerships nationwide.
