Start an EV Charging Business with Zero Cashout

Got extra space? You might just be sitting on your next source of income – 24/7 even while you sleep. A true passive income.
V-Green, a Vietnamese EV charging solutions provider, is launching a partnership program in the Philippines that allows landowners and small business operators to start an electric vehicle (EV) charging station, with zero cashout required.

No Capital, No Hassle
Here’s how it works: If you have a suitable lot, 30 to 1,000 square meters with concrete surface and access to three-phase electricity, V-Green will install the charging equipment, connect the power, and operate it 24/7. You don’t need to spend a single peso. In return, you earn through a revenue-sharing setup.
It’s a practical and passive income opportunity, especially for property owners in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao. Whether you run a café, gas station, or own an unused roadside space, the business model fits right in.

Tested in Vietnam, Now in PH
V-Green has already rolled out over 150,000 charging ports across Vietnam through a mix of self-operated and franchised stations. Now they’re bringing the same proven model to the Philippines—with plans to add a franchise option soon.
“Our goal is to make EV charging stations a standard feature in Philippine developments within five years,” says V-Green Philippines CEO Luu Viet Hung. “We’re offering a zero-risk, zero-capital way for partners to join the EV movement.”

Why It Makes Business Sense
As more EVs hit Philippine roads, charging demand will only grow. Hosting a charging station increases foot traffic and dwell time, which benefits nearby shops, restaurants, and convenience stores.
Plus, the setup gives your property a modern, eco-friendly image, something today’s customers value more and more.

Get Plugged In
If you’re a landowner looking to maximize unused space or a business owner wanting to tap into the EV boom without spending upfront, this could be your sign to plug into the future.

Suzuki Sends Boats and Big Discounts for Flood-Hit Communities

Suzuki Philippines has stepped in to help communities hit hard by recent floods caused by Typhoons Dante and Emong, especially in low-lying areas of Laguna. Many neighborhoods near the company’s head office in Calamba were left underwater and cut off from essential supplies.

Through its Marine Department, Suzuki worked with local governments and rescue teams to deliver help where it was needed most. The company deployed an inflatable boat with a 6HP Suzuki outboard motor to Biñan and a poly boat with a 15HP motor to Sta. Rosa. These boats made it possible to reach areas inaccessible to regular vehicles or manual boats, bringing much-needed relief goods to stranded families, particularly in Sikatville where waters reached chest level.

Local leaders and volunteers praised the effort, saying the equipment helped them cover more ground and reach people faster.
Suzuki also launched a Flood Support Program for owners of non-insured Suzuki vehicles damaged by the floods. The program offers a 30% discount on key parts often affected by floodwater—Engine Control Module (ECM), ABS Control Module, Body Control Module (BCM), and SRS Control Unit—helping customers repair their vehicles safely and affordably.

The company said these efforts reflect its belief that mobility is more than transportation—it’s a way to care, connect, and uplift people, especially during disasters.

Ford Powers Into Hybrid Game with New Territory

MANILA, Philippines – Ford Philippines has officially joined the hybrid electric vehicle segment with the launch of the new Ford Territory Hybrid. The Philippines is the first market in Ford’s International Markets Group to offer this model, which blends fuel efficiency, modern styling, advanced tech, and driver-assist features.

Available in two variants – the Trend and Titanium X – the new Territory Hybrid keeps the SUV’s popular appeal while adding a responsive hybrid powertrain. The Trend focuses on core hybrid features for daily driving, while the Titanium X adds premium touches like a panoramic moonroof, coast-to-coast LED bar, larger alloy wheels, and extra safety tech.

Hybrid Power Without Plugging In
Unlike plug-in hybrids, the Territory Hybrid doesn’t need charging stations. It automatically recharges through regenerative braking and its gasoline engine. Both variants use a 1.5L I-4 Dedicated Hybrid Engine, paired with a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a 1.83kW lithium-ion battery. Together, they produce up to 218PS of electric power and 315Nm of torque.

The SUV can switch between EV, Series, Parallel, or Energy Recovery modes for better fuel economy and smooth torque delivery, especially in city traffic. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds. Drivers can choose Eco, Normal, or Sport modes, plus adjustable steering settings for comfort or responsiveness.

Updated Looks Inside and Out
The Territory Hybrid sports a redesigned hood, fenders, grille, LED headlights, and full-width LED taillights. Wheel sizes are 18 inches for the Trend and 19 inches for the Titanium X. Inside, it features premium materials, a dual-tone leather finish, more luggage space, multi-color ambient lighting, and improved seating comfort.

Tech and Comfort
Both variants come with dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multiple charging ports, and a 12-inch touchscreen. The Titanium X gets extras like a wireless charging pad, PM2.5 filter, hands-free tailgate, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. A new sound system from Arkamys delivers 3D surround sound.

Safety Features
Standard safety tech includes six airbags, stability and traction control, hill assist, a 360-degree camera, and parking sensors. The Titanium X adds adaptive cruise control, lane keeping aid, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking.

FordPass Connectivity
Through the FordPass app, owners can remotely start, lock, or unlock the car, and get vehicle health alerts.
Pricing and Colors
- Trend – ₱1,399,000
- Titanium X – ₱1,599,000
Color options include Oasis Green, Crystal Pearl White, Star White, Blue Panther, and Panther Black (availability depends on variant).

Big Truck Energy, Low Down Payment at P58k!

GWM Philippines is holding firm on pricing even as excise taxes begin to affect the pickup segment. In a move that benefits budget-conscious buyers, the Chinese automaker confirmed it will not increase prices for the newly refreshed GWM Cannon, at least for now.

GWM is offering the new Cannon with an all-in low down payment of just P58,000 until August 31, 2025. This applies to both available variants: the Cannon LUX+ 4×4 AT (P1,488,000) and the higher-spec Cannon SLUX+ 4×4 AT (P1,688,000).

Both variants are powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 184 PS and 480 Nm of torque. This is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system with torque-on-demand capability. Compared to the previous 2.0L model, the new engine offers more punch, especially on climbs and rough roads.

Inside, both trucks are equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50W wireless charger, and a full suite of driver aids. The SLUX+ comes with ventilated leather seats, a 540-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, and an extensive ADAS suite including lane-keeping assist, blind spot warning, and traffic sign recognition.

While the SLUX+ adds upscale features and more safety tech, even the LUX+ comes with off-road-ready all-terrain tires, a cargo bed roll cover, and advanced essentials like electronic stability control, rear sensors, and a 2-airbag setup.

The Cannon’s updated design leans toward a sportier, more rugged aesthetic with matte black trim, body-colored cladding, and blacked-out accents—giving it a tough but tasteful look. Meanwhile, both variants come with spray-on bed liners and hydraulic-assisted tailgates for added utility.

According to GWM Philippines Brand Head Dax Avenido, the brand is committed to keeping prices stable even after the implementation of the excise tax. “This is our way of ensuring that Filipino drivers still have access to premium pickup trucks at competitive pricing,” he said.

Buyers can also rest easy with GWM’s generous 7-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty, which remains in effect across both models.
