Suzuki Philippines has opened reservations for its all-new Fronx, a subcompact hybrid crossover set to rival the Toyota Raize and Kia Sonet. The early reservation window runs from August 20 to September 5, 2025, giving customers a chance to lock in their units while also getting exclusive freebies.

Those who reserve the GLX AT variant will receive two genuine Suzuki accessories: a luggage mat tray and a set of tire valve caps. Suzuki notes these tokens are non-convertible to cash and non-transferable, making them available only to the earliest Fronx buyers.

To secure a unit, customers must place a ₱10,000 reservation fee at any authorized Suzuki dealership nationwide. Payments may be made via cash, check, or credit card (subject to dealership approval). The reservation fee will later be deducted from the total payment or down payment once the vehicle is released.

However, Suzuki clarified that promo benefits apply only if the reserved units are released on or before December 31, 2025. Accessories will be delivered directly to the buyer’s declared address after the unit’s release.

The Suzuki Fronx—already being sold in more than 70 countries including India, Japan, and several markets in Latin America and Africa—was previewed in the Philippines at Matsuri 2025 as part of Suzuki’s 50th anniversary celebration.

Specs and Features

Based on LTO homologation papers, the Fronx measures 3,995 mm long, 1,765 mm wide, and 1,550 mm tall, with a 2,520 mm wheelbase and 170 mm ground clearance. It seats five and rides on 16-inch wheels wrapped in 196/60 tires.

Under the hood is a K15C Dualjet gasoline engine with Smart Hybrid system, capable of reaching a top speed of 175 km/h.

For safety and tech, the crossover comes with a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, wireless charger, 360-degree view camera, six airbags, dual support brake sensor, lane departure warning and prevention, lane keep assist, weaving alert, blind spot monitor, and rear cross traffic alert.

With its coupe-SUV styling and modern hybrid powertrain, the Suzuki Fronx positions itself as an easy-to-handle yet feature-packed option for Filipino drivers looking for something fresh in the subcompact crossover segment.

The promo, which runs until October 31, 2025, is open to customers who purchase select models: the Volvo XC90 Plug-in Hybrid, the Volvo XC60 Plug-in Hybrid, and the fully electric Volvo EX30 in Ultra or Core variants. Each eligible purchase comes with one raffle entry for the grand prize.

The package includes roundtrip airfare, luxury hotel stays, a guided tour itinerary, travel insurance, and full-board meals, ensuring a seamless experience for the winners.

“This promotion is our way of thanking our valued customers,” said HARI Vice Chair, President, and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo. “We believe that owning a Volvo is more than just a purchase; it’s an entry into a world of premium experiences and a lifestyle centered on safety, sustainability, and personal freedom. What better way to reflect our brand’s heritage than with a trip through Europe, where the Volvo story began?”

To qualify, buyers need to fill out a raffle coupon upon vehicle turnover and drop it at the Volvo Makati showroom. The deadline for submission of entries is November 7, 2025.

The grand draw is set for November 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Volvo Makati Sales Admin Office. A Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) representative will oversee the process. Geely Philippines is stepping up its presence in the country with two of its latest models taking the spotlight at a mall-based showcase this month. Visitors at SM Mall of Asia from August 28 to September 3 will be able to see the fully electric Geely EX5 Max and the Okavango Elite hybrid SUV up close as part of the brand’s New EnerGeely mall tour.

The display comes just weeks after the EX5 Max’s official Philippine launch on June 30, which marked Geely Motor Philippines Corporation’s formal entry into the all-electric segment. Positioned as a compact electric SUV, the EX5 Max carries a 60.22 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery rated for up to 425 kilometers on a single charge under WLTP standards. It supports both standard and fast charging, taking about six hours for a full top-up or 20 minutes to go from 30 to 80 percent.

On the road, the EX5 Max delivers a peak output of 160 kW and 320 Nm of torque, allowing the EV to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. Geely highlights its 11-in-1 Intelligent Electric Drive System as a key feature for improved efficiency and responsiveness.

Sharing the stage with the EX5 is the Okavango Elite, a three-row SUV that emphasizes space and practicality for families. The model combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor, producing 190 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Inside, it offers flexible seating for seven, leather upholstery, and a three-zone climate control system. The Okavango Elite is also eligible for green plates, signaling compliance with the country’s eco-friendly vehicle standards.

Prices for the two models are set at ₱1,799,000 for the EX5 Max and ₱1,368,000 for the Okavango Elite. To sweeten the deal, Geely is offering a promo where buyers of the EX5 Max until September 25, 2025, will receive a free Meizu Note 22 smartphone. Both vehicles are available through Geely’s nationwide dealerships.

The mall tour is part of Geely’s relaunch campaign in the Philippines, with earlier stops at Alabang Town Center earlier in August. According to the company, the program is designed to give potential customers a closer look at its models while responding to growing interest in EVs and hybrids amid rising fuel costs.
