Porsche launches all-electric Cayenne in Phl, retains gasoline and hybrid models
Porsche has introduced the all-electric Cayenne in the Philippines, giving buyers of its flagship SUV a battery-powered option alongside the existing gasoline and plug-in hybrid models.

The Philippine debut coincides with Porsche’s 30th anniversary in the country and brings one of the German sports car manufacturer’s best-known models into its growing electric vehicle lineup.
Initially available in SUV form, the Cayenne Electric uses two electric motors driving all four wheels, powered by a 113-kWh lithium-ion battery. The system produces up to 442 PS and 835 Nm of torque with Launch Control activated.

Porsche claims a zero-to-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.8 seconds and a driving range of up to 642 kilometers under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
The electric Cayenne uses an 800-volt electrical architecture that supports DC fast charging at up to 390 kW, with a peak of 400 kW possible under specific conditions.

According to Porsche, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 16 minutes using a compatible high-power charging station under optimum conditions. An 11-kW onboard charger handles AC charging, including charging at home.
The new model is built on an electric platform with its battery integrated into the vehicle’s floor structure. At 4,985 mm long, it is 55 mm longer than the combustion-engine Cayenne.

Its 3,023-mm wheelbase is also nearly 130 mm longer, providing additional space for rear passengers. Electrically adjustable rear seats allow occupants to change their seating position or create more luggage room.
Cargo capacity ranges from 781 liters to 1,588 liters with the rear seats folded, while a separate 90-liter compartment beneath the front hood provides additional storage.

Inside, Porsche introduces its Flow Display, a curved OLED screen extending into the center console. The digital cockpit also includes a 14.25-inch instrument display, with an optional 14.9-inch screen for the front passenger.
Physical controls for frequently used functions, including climate settings and audio volume, have been retained.
Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management comes as standard equipment. Optional rear-axle steering improves maneuverability, particularly when parking or navigating narrow roads.

Porsche also equips the new Cayenne with aerodynamic features intended to reduce drag and improve efficiency. These include movable cooling air flaps, an adaptive roof spoiler and a largely enclosed underbody.
The Philippine lineup is expected to grow with a Coupé body style and the more powerful Cayenne Turbo Electric, which produces up to 1,156 PS with Launch Control and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds.
Porsche’s Philippine website also lists a Cayenne S Electric with up to 666 PS for model year 2027.
The Cayenne Electric is available for viewing at Porsche dealerships in Greenhills, Bonifacio Global City, Alabang and Cebu.
Local pricing has yet to be announced.
