Honda Gives RS125 Final Run

Honda Philippines has released the RS125 Final Edition as the company prepares to close the nearly two-decade production run of one of its longest-serving Cub models.

The Final Edition will remain available until March 2028, with production limited to 20,000 units. Honda said the release will celebrate an RS125 legacy that includes more than 350,000 units sold in the Philippines.

The motorcycle arrives with a suggested retail price of P77,000 and is now available at Honda Exclusive Shops nationwide.

Honda said the decision will allow it to direct resources toward new products and adjust its motorcycle lineup as customer needs and market trends change.

The RS125 has served Filipino riders for nearly 20 years as a practical motorcycle for daily travel. Its name combines “Road Sport” with the displacement of its 125cc engine.

For its final production run, Honda has fitted the model with a new stealth stripe design that follows the sharp lines of the bodywork. Exclusive Final Edition graphics distinguish it from earlier versions.

Two color options are available. Buyers may choose between Matte Axis Gray Metallic and Pearl Sylvestris Gray.

The front end combines the headlight and visor in one assembly, while a sporty front fender helps protect the rider from debris and water thrown up by the wheel. A sharp taillight improves the motorcycle’s visibility from behind.

Honda has retained the dual-design meter panel, which places key riding information within the rider’s view. The covered muffler helps reduce noise and smoke while giving the lower section a cleaner appearance.

The RS125 Final Edition also comes with a cushioned seat and pillion steps for passenger support. A U-box beneath the seat provides storage for personal items.

The company said the RS125 earned customer loyalty by combining the convenience of a Cub motorcycle with the styling of a street bike. It became a familiar choice among commuters who needed an affordable motorcycle for regular use.

Honda has not announced a direct successor to the RS125. The Final Edition instead serves as the model’s farewell while the company prepares its Cub lineup for future additions.
