Suzuki Philippines introduces the all-new Access scooter for city commuters
Suzuki Philippines has launched the all-new Access scooter during its “All Access” grand event on October 4, 2025, at Market! Market! in Taguig City. The launch marked the local debut of Suzuki’s latest 125cc scooter built for daily urban rides.

Two versions were presented to the public: the standard Access, priced at ₱84,900, and the Ride Connect Edition, priced at ₱93,900. Both are powered by a 124cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled SOHC engine with fuel injection under Suzuki’s Eco Performance technology for better power and fuel efficiency.

The scooter uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and comes with a front disc brake and rear drum brake. It features telescopic front suspension and a swingarm-type rear suspension with coil springs and oil damping for smoother travel on city roads. The tubeless tires are sized 90/90-12 at the front and 90/100-10 at the rear.

Suzuki lists the Access with an overall length of 1,835 mm, width of 690 mm, and height of 1,155 mm. It has a 1,260 mm wheelbase, 160 mm ground clearance, 770 mm seat height, and a 5.3-liter fuel tank. The scooter weighs 106 kg in running condition.

Among its convenient features are an external fuel filler cap for refueling without lifting the seat and a spacious underseat compartment for storage. The Ride Connect Edition adds a digital instrument panel that links to the Suzuki Ride Connect app, which displays navigation and call alerts.

The Access is available in four color options: Solid Ice Green, Metallic Matte Black, Pearl Grace White, and Metallic Matte Stellar Blue. Suzuki claims the model can achieve up to 57.3 kilometers per liter based on the World Motorcycle Test Cycle standard.

Visitors at the “All Access” event were able to test the scooter through the Access Smart Experience area, where they could try short rides around the venue. Guests also received complimentary drinks at the “Access Café,” creating a relaxed and interactive launch experience.

The Access and Ride Connect Edition come with a two-year or 20,000-kilometer warranty, whichever comes first. Customers who purchase before December 31, 2025, will also get a free Suzuki Access helmet.

Through this new launch, Suzuki Philippines aims to offer an accessible scooter that blends efficiency, comfort, and smart features for everyday riders in the city.

VinFast Scoots to the Top
VinFast closed 2025 with a big win in electric two-wheelers, delivering 406,453 e-scooters nationwide and locking in the top spot in Vietnam’s e-scooter market. The figure represents a massive 473 percent jump from the previous year, underlining how fast electric mobility is catching on in the country.
The surge was led by VinFast’s Evo lineup, which became the brand’s best-selling range for the year. With multiple price points and flexible battery options, the Evo models alone accounted for more than 250,000 units sold. Other familiar names such as Feliz, Klara, Vento, Vero X, and Theon also helped push overall numbers higher. License-exempt models like Motio, Zgoo, and Flazz widened the brand’s reach, especially among younger riders and first-time buyers.

Beyond product variety, VinFast pointed to heavy investment in its ecosystem as a major driver of growth. By the end of 2025, the company had built a nationwide sales network with over 600 authorized distributors, making its e-scooters more accessible across urban and provincial areas. This was backed by a growing number of service workshops and public charging stations, designed to make ownership easier and less intimidating for new users.

Sales were also boosted by aggressive customer programs, including gasoline-to-electric trade-ins, attractive financing options, and expanded after-sales support. According to VinFast, these efforts helped ease common concerns around charging, maintenance, and long-term costs, encouraging more riders to switch from petrol-powered scooters.
Hoang Ha, CEO of VinFast’s e-scooter business in Vietnam, said 2025 was a turning point for green mobility in the country. He added that strong market momentum and growing trust in the brand give VinFast confidence heading into 2026, which the company expects to be another milestone year.
VinFast’s dominance in e-scooters came alongside strong performance in electric cars, highlighting a broader shift away from gasoline vehicles nationwide. The company sees this as proof that Vietnam’s transition to electric mobility is no longer a future plan, but an ongoing reality.
At the start of 2026, VinFast expanded its lineup further with four new e-scooter models, including battery-swapping versions of Evo, Feliz II, and Viper, plus the Amio pedal-assisted model aimed at students. To support this push, VinFast has already installed 4,500 battery-swapping stations and plans to roll out 45,000 battery cabinets by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
The company is also running its “For a Green Future” campaign, offering zero down payment options, retail discounts, and registration fee support until April 12, 2026. Buyers will receive free charging at V-Green stations until May 31, 2027, along with complimentary battery-swapping for up to a year, depending on usage.

Million Strong on Two Wheels
Honda Philippines Inc. closed 2025 with more than a million motorcycles sold, reinforcing its lead in the local two-wheel market and posting the strongest retail performance in company history.

The company recorded 1,041,237 retail sales and 1,044,510 wholesale units for the full year. December capped the run with 114,772 motorcycles sold, the highest monthly retail total Honda Philippines has ever logged.

The result was driven by continued demand for Honda’s core models, which remain common sights on city streets and provincial roads. Click125 led both retail and wholesale sales, helped by its fuel efficiency and everyday usability. ADV160 followed as a popular choice for riders looking for more power and comfort for longer trips. BeAT stayed strong among first-time and younger riders, while XRM125 DS and TMX125 Alpha continued to serve riders who rely on motorcycles for work, deliveries, and rural travel.

Honda Philippines said the numbers reflect long-standing customer trust built around product reliability and nationwide support. The company maintained its focus on offering motorcycles that meet daily transport needs, from short commutes to livelihood use, while keeping ownership costs manageable.

Takeshi Kobayashi, president of Honda Philippines, said the 2025 performance showed continued confidence from Filipino riders and the strength of the brand’s current lineup. He said the company will keep developing motorcycles that support daily life, work, and personal mobility needs.
Moving into 2026, Honda Philippines said it will continue balancing performance, efficiency, comfort, and safety as rider expectations evolve, while keeping two-wheel mobility accessible across different segments of the market.

Harley-Davidson’s Liberty Rides Again
Harley-Davidson has pulled the cover off its 2026 motorcycle lineup, rolling out 12 new models that expand its touring, trike, and premium CVO offerings. The announcement was made via the brand’s official Model Year 2026 Reveal video released on January 14, with global availability set through authorized dealerships in the coming months.

At the center of the update are new additions to Harley-Davidson’s Grand American Touring range. The Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited arrive as the most comfort-focused touring models in the lineup, aimed squarely at riders who spend long hours on the road. Both models now run the Milwaukee-Eight 117 VVT engine and gain updated touring hardware, including a redesigned Tour-Pak luggage system, upgraded audio from Rockford Fosgate, and a touchscreen running Harley-Davidson’s Skyline OS with built-in navigation.

Three-wheel riders also get attention for 2026. The Street Glide 3 Limited and Road Glide 3 mark the second generation of Harley-Davidson trikes. These models introduce a new rear suspension layout to improve ride comfort while retaining the same 117 VVT engine. The goal, according to the brand, is to match the performance and tech experience of its two-wheel touring motorcycles.

The premium end of the lineup is led by five Custom Vehicle Operation models. These limited-production motorcycles sit at the top of Harley-Davidson’s range, combining exclusive paint finishes, higher-spec components, and performance upgrades. For 2026, the CVO lineup includes the new CVO Street Glide ST, along with updated versions of the CVO Street Glide, Road Glide ST, and trike variants.

Adding a patriotic touch to the lineup is the Enthusiast Collection Liberty Edition. Created to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Liberty Edition models are offered in very limited numbers worldwide. Three motorcycles are part of the collection: the Street Glide, Street Glide 3 Limited, and Heritage Classic. Each features Midnight Ember paint, special eagle graphics, and red, white, and blue stitching details. Mechanical specifications remain the same as their standard counterparts.

Harley-Davidson noted that availability and specifications will vary by market. Philippine buyers are advised to check with local dealerships for model allocations and arrival timelines
