VinFast Prepares VF8 Debut
VinFast is preparing to introduce its all-new VF8 electric SUV in the Philippines this November, with a claimed driving range of up to 480 kilometers on a single charge under the NEDC testing cycle.
The upcoming model is equipped with a 60.13-kWh battery, giving VinFast another electric SUV offering for the Philippine market as it broadens its local vehicle lineup.
The company said the VF8 has received recognition from the Department of Energy as an electric vehicle for the Philippine market ahead of its official debut.
The new-generation VF8 adopts VinFast’s latest “Tech Fluid” design language, which brings revised exterior styling and an updated cabin with additional technology and comfort features.
Its driver-assistance equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane-assistance functions, collision warning and blind spot warning. A high-definition 360-degree camera system is also among the features announced for the SUV.
The claimed 480-km range could give motorists greater flexibility on longer journeys, although actual driving distance will depend on road conditions, driving habits and other factors.
The VF8’s introduction comes as VinFast continues to develop its presence in the Philippines, where the Vietnamese manufacturer is offering electric vehicles as an alternative to conventional gasoline-powered models.
Final Philippine-market specifications, available variants, pricing and delivery schedules have yet to be announced.
VinFast said these details will be disclosed closer to the VF8’s official launch in November.
