Mitsubishi Rolls Out 2026 Xpander With New Looks and More Comfort

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has rolled out the 2026 Xpander and Xpander Cross, giving the country’s top-selling subcompact MPV its third major refresh. With a starting price of P1.099 million, the updated model banks on bold styling, better tech, and more safety features to keep its edge in a very competitive segment.

Exterior and Design

The front end of the Xpander gets sharper for 2026. A wider grille with satin chrome accents now links to slimmer LED daytime running lights, while redesigned bumpers add visual width. Side skirts and new 17-inch alloy wheels complete the sportier look.

For the Xpander Cross, Mitsubishi borrowed cues from the Triton pickup and Xforce SUV. The upright grille, trapezoidal outline, and vertical guards at the front and rear give it a more rugged SUV stance. Ground clearance stays at 225mm, still the highest in its class, while geometric 17-inch wheels set it apart.

Color choices also expand. The standard Xpander comes in six shades, while the Cross gets three two-tone options, including Sunrise Orange Metallic with a black roof.

Inside the Cabin

Mitsubishi retained the familiar Horizontal Axis dashboard layout but gave it premium touches. The Xpander keeps its black interior, now with soft-touch inserts and stitching. The Cross raises the bar with a burgundy-and-black theme plus Heat Guard leather seats that help reflect heat.

Both trims get a new steering wheel, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a larger 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Cross and GLS add extra functions, including pitch and roll displays, plus a 360-degree multi-view camera with 3D mode. Even the second-row middle seat is safer now, thanks to an added headrest.

Safety and Handling

One of the biggest updates is the inclusion of Active Yaw Control for the Xpander GLS. Previously exclusive to the Cross, this system works with stability control to keep the vehicle steady during cornering. Lower trims still get standard stability control and a reverse camera.

Quick Arrival

The updated Xpander made its world premiere in Indonesia only months ago, and it’s now in Philippine showrooms. With its refreshed looks, added safety, and more family-friendly features, Mitsubishi is confident the 2026 Xpander will remain the MPV of choice for Filipino households.
