XPENG opens X9 pre-sales

XPENG Philippines has opened pre-sales for its X9 electric seven-seat MPV ahead of a September launch, with reservations set at ₱25,000.

Customers will receive ₱10,000 in EV charging credits and an XPENG First Circle Gift Set upon delivery. Only a limited number of vehicles from the first batch are available, the company said.

Final prices, warranty coverage and delivery schedules will be announced at the launch.

“The interest and inquiries we have received ahead of the official launch reflect the growing anticipation for the X9,” said Sam Chu, XPENG general manager for Southeast Asia.

XPENG said more than 55,000 X9s have been delivered across China and other Asia-Pacific markets.

The Philippine model uses a front-mounted electric motor with 235 kW and 450 Nm of torque. XPENG quotes a zero-to-100 km/h time of 7.75 seconds and up to 615 kilometers of WLTP-rated range from its 110 kWh battery.

Its 800-volt platform supports DC charging at up to 542 kW. A 10-to-80-percent charge takes about 12 minutes under specified optimal conditions with a compatible high-capacity charger, according to XPENG.

Actual range and charging times depend on operating conditions and charger capacity. The X9 also supports 11 kW AC charging and can supply compatible external equipment through a 6 kW vehicle-to-load function.

At more than 5.3 meters long, the MPV uses active rear-wheel steering to achieve a quoted 5.4-meter minimum turning radius. Dual-chamber air suspension allows ground clearance to be adjusted between 100 and 190 mm.

The third-row seats fold electrically into the floor. XPENG lists luggage capacity at 721 liters with all seats upright and up to 2,554 liters with the rear row stowed.

Second-row passengers get power-adjustable reclining seats with heating and ventilation, plus a ten-point massage function. Cabin equipment includes a refrigerator and a 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen, paired with a 27-speaker audio system.

A 17.3-inch central display runs XPENG’s XMART OS, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The system supports voice commands and over-the-air updates.

Driver assistance includes adaptive cruise control and lane centering, alongside parking assistance and a 360-degree camera. XPENG says the systems require the driver to retain control and pay attention to road conditions.

Nine airbags and autonomous emergency braking are among the listed safety equipment.
