ACMobility rolls out EV safety education nationwide
ACMobility has launched a nationwide electric vehicle education program aimed at giving Filipino drivers practical information on EV safety, charging, ownership costs and emergency procedures.
Called Drive Electric. EV Safety Program, the initiative was introduced in Manila on September 4 and is open to EV advocates, prospective buyers, fleet operators and members of the public interested in electric mobility.

The program seeks to address common misconceptions surrounding EVs through technical information presented in a more accessible format. Its five-module curriculum covers basic EV concepts, total cost of ownership, potential long-term savings, safe charging practices, emergency protocols and vehicle technology.
ACMobility developed the program with professional instruction partners and in coordination with the Department of Energy, Bureau of Fire Protection, Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines and Philippine EV Community.
“As we continue to build an end-to-end electric mobility ecosystem, our ultimate priority is to empower the Filipino driver to make the shift to a more sustainable and cost-effective transport option,” ACMobility chief executive officer Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala said.
He said the program is designed to provide Filipinos with practical tools and accessible technical knowledge that can help them better understand EV ownership and safety.
ACMobility plans to expand the initiative through educational seminars across the country. Future activities will include corporate sessions, community workshops and interactive programs during major industry gatherings.
Some sessions will combine technical learning with test drives, giving participants direct experience with electric vehicles while receiving guidance from instructors and industry specialists.
The initiative adds an education component to ACMobility’s wider electric mobility operations in the Philippines. The Ayala Group mobility arm distributes BYD and Kia vehicles and operates an EV charging network spread across more than 200 locations nationwide.
The company is also developing digital services intended to make charging infrastructure and service centers easier to access for consumers and businesses.
Interested consumers, fleet operators and drivers may register for upcoming sessions through ACMobility’s official channels.
