Green GSM Hands Over 1,000 EVs

Green GSM Philippines handed over its first 1,000 electric vehicles to driver partners during its largest driver festival to date, as the mobility company expands its EV-based operating model in the country.

The Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Festival ran from September 12 to 14 at The Tent in Las Piñas City and partner depots, drawing thousands of existing and prospective drivers.

The vehicle turnover was the centerpiece of the event, giving Green GSM Platform Driver Partners access to additional units for transport operations and expanding the company’s service capacity.

Green GSM also introduced a vehicle rental program backed by its partnership with VinFast. Eligible drivers can enter the program with an initial investment starting at P5,000.

The company said the scheme is intended to lower the financial barrier for drivers who want to operate electric vehicles while giving them another option for earning through ride-hailing and public transport services.

Drivers may choose between the four-seat VinFast Herio Green or VF 5 and the seven-seat Limo Green. Both are fully electric models intended for commercial transport use.

Green GSM said electric operation can reduce energy, maintenance and servicing expenses compared with similar gasoline-powered vehicles.

Support for participating drivers includes free charging under selected programs and VinFast warranty coverage of up to seven years or 160,000 kilometers for the Limo Green and VF 5 or Herio Green.

The festival also served as the Philippine launch venue for the Global Green GSM Driver Partner Community, a platform designed to connect drivers and provide information on EV operation, company policies and service standards.

Members are expected to share operating experience, receive program updates and access support related to their work as Green GSM partners.

Festival participants were also given opportunities to test-drive VinFast electric vehicles and obtain information on registration requirements, incentives and operating procedures.

Green GSM Philippines CEO Le Thi Thu Trang said the company wants to create more livelihood opportunities for drivers while improving service quality and professionalism across its network.

“Through the Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Festival and Car Handover Week, Green GSM aims to accompany the driver community in its development and expansion while enhancing both quality and professionalism,” Trang said.

She added that Green GSM wants drivers to gain access to operating models that could lower costs and improve earnings while supporting wider adoption of electric mobility in the Philippines.

Green GSM currently runs electric taxi services in Metro Manila, Central Visayas and Mindanao.

Its services include Green GSM Car and Green GSM Limo, a seven-seat premium taxi offering.

The company is also working with local taxi operators under partnership programs intended to introduce more electric vehicles into commercial transport fleets.

Green GSM said it will continue adding vehicles and expanding its network as demand grows, while using its “5 Green Promises” program as the basis for service and driver-partner standards.
