Dakar Champion Nasser Al-Attiyah Wins Asian Games Shooting Gold
Qatar’s Nasser Al-Attiyah won gold in the men’s skeet team event at the Asian Games in Nagoya on Wednesday, eight months after claiming his sixth Dakar Rally title.
Al-Attiyah, 55, helped Qatar finish ahead of Kuwait and India. It was his third Asian Games gold, after victories in 2002 and 2010, and his sixth medal at the Games overall.
He also won an Olympic skeet bronze at London 2012.
In January, Al-Attiyah and Belgian co-driver Fabian Lurquin won the Dakar Rally in a Dacia.
