Ford turns up Ranger, Everest appeal

Published

on

Ford Philippines has added limited-edition versions of the Ranger and Everest, giving buyers more factory-equipped choices for style, off-road capability and everyday convenience.

The new Ranger Sport+ 4×4 gets a black sport bar, matte black fender flares and an F-O-R-D grille that give the pickup a tougher look. It also carries an electronic locking rear differential for added traction when driving on loose or uneven surfaces.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine producing 170 PS and 405 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.

Ford offers the Ranger Sport+ 4×4 in Absolute Black, Arctic White and Meteor Gray. Pricing starts at P1,999,000, while select colors come with cash savings of up to P380,000 for July. The pickup includes a five-year warranty.

The Everest Titanium+ 4×4 limited edition takes a different approach by adding power side steps, a feature also available on higher-priced models such as the Ford Expedition.

The steps automatically extend when a door is opened, providing a lower entry point for passengers. They retract after the doors close, keeping the Everest’s body profile clean while adding convenience for children, older passengers and anyone who finds the standard step-in height challenging.

Under the hood is a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine delivering 210 PS and 500 Nm. It works with a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

Drivers can choose from six drive modes covering Normal, Eco, Tow Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts and Sand conditions. The SUV also comes with an electronic shifter.

The Everest Titanium+ 4×4 with power side steps is available in Aluminum Metallic and Meteor Gray, with prices starting at P2,640,000. Ford is offering cash savings of up to P170,000 for both colors during July, along with a five-year warranty.

Ford Philippines retail product marketing and business growth director Byron Daquil said the limited editions were developed to give customers more ways to match their vehicles with their needs and preferences.

Both models are supported by Ford’s local dealership and service network, including online service booking, mobile service vehicles, express service, pickup and delivery, and a service price calculator.
