Kia EV3 Expands Brand’s Philippine Electric Lineup

Kia Philippines has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of the all-new EV3, a compact electric SUV that brings technology from the larger EV5 and EV9 into a more accessible package.

Introduced in Makati City on Sept. 21, the EV3 enters the Philippine market after being named 2025 World Car of the Year.

The EV3 uses a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 204 PS and 283 Nm of torque. Its 58.3-kWh lithium-ion battery delivers up to 511 kilometers of driving range based on the NEDC cycle.

Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes about five hours and 20 minutes using an 11-kW AC charger. Kia says the same charge can be completed in 29 minutes with a 350-kW DC fast charger.

The compact SUV carries Kia’s latest design language, including its Digital Tiger Face, LED headlights and flush exterior door handles. It also comes with a rear spoiler, roof rails and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The EV3 gets leather upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and dual-zone automatic climate control. A sliding center console tray can be used for storage or as a small workspace, while the rear seats fold in a 60:40 configuration.

The dashboard is dominated by Kia’s 30-inch Triple Panoramic Display, which combines the instrument cluster, infotainment screen and a 5.3-inch climate control display.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless charging pads, five USB-C ports and a six-speaker audio system are standard.

Safety equipment includes Kia’s DriveWise driver assistance suite with Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Avoidance with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping and Following Assist, Blindspot Safety Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Safety.

Seven airbags are standard, together with Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera.

The Kia EV3 is priced at P1.898 million with a wall charger included. An introductory price of P1.868 million is available, together with five years of free preventive maintenance service until Oct. 31.

Reservations opened Sept. 21, while customer deliveries are scheduled to begin Oct. 1. The EV3 comes with a five-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer high-voltage battery warranty.
