A trip to your favorite Ayala Mall could soon land you the keys to a brand-new electric vehicle. Through a partnership with electric carmaker BYD, Ayala Malls is giving away four different EVs—each tied to a specific mall location—as part of a massive raffle promo running until September 30, 2025.

Here’s what’s up for grabs:

- BYD Seagull for Ayala Malls Solenad
To join, shoppers must present a minimum of ₱5,000 in single or accumulated receipts (maximum of three) from participating stores, excluding supermarkets, telecom, and bill payment counters. Receipts must be submitted at the same mall where the purchase was made, and customers will be directed to scan a QR code at the concierge or redemption area to fill out an e-raffle form.
Every ₱5,000 spend earns one raffle entry. Once registered, participants will receive an email confirming their entry.
Promo period runs from July 1 to September 30, 2025. The grand raffle draw is on October 14, and will be conducted in the presence of a DTI representative. Winners will be notified by registered mail and phone.

Only one prize can be won per customer. Prizes are non-convertible to cash and are not transferable. Winners must shoulder taxes, registration fees, and other related costs, including shipping for those based in the Visayas or Mindanao.
To claim the prize, winners must bring two valid government-issued IDs and claim it at the designated Ayala Mall within 60 days of notification. The car’s color will be chosen by the organizers and cannot be changed.

Employees of AyalaLand Malls, Ayala Land Inc., Mobility Access Philippines Ventures Inc., its affiliates, dealers, and partner merchants—including their relatives up to the second degree—are not eligible to join.
Winners’ names and photos may be used in promotional materials, and Ayala Malls reserves the right to disqualify entries proven to be fraudulent or non-compliant with promo rules.
This is Ayala Malls’ way of rewarding its loyal patrons while supporting a cleaner, more sustainable form of mobility.

Five hybrid cars await BDO raffle winners
BDO Unibank is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a nationwide raffle that gives customers a chance to win five Toyota Ativ Hybrid cars and 250 SM Gift Passes.
The BDO 50th Anniversary Raffle runs from August to December 2026 and is open to eligible clients of BDO Unibank and BDO Network Bank.

New customers may join by opening a qualified deposit account, completing a one-time online registration and maintaining the required balance. Existing clients can earn entries by adding to their deposits and registering online.
The raffle has five draws. Customers who qualify in August can win one of 50 SM Gift Passes worth P5,000 each during the first draw on 14 September.
Another 50 gift passes will be awarded on 14 October to customers who qualify in September.
The next two draws will add hybrid cars to the prizes. Customers who qualify in October can win one Toyota Ativ Hybrid and one of 50 gift passes on 14 November. The same set of prizes will be awarded to November qualifiers during the 14 December draw.

All eligible entries earned from August to December will be included in the grand draw on 14 January 2027. Three Toyota Ativ Hybrid cars and another 50 SM Gift Passes will be given away during the final draw.
BDO introduced the raffle as a thanksgiving program for clients who have supported the bank during its first five decades.
The bank has served Filipinos through different stages of their financial lives, from opening an account for a first salary to saving for a home, education, business or retirement.

Financial habits have changed considerably during that period as mobile apps and online services made many banking transactions available without a branch visit. Customers have also started saving for a wider range of goals, including emergency funds, travel, investments and small businesses.
BDO said it will continue adapting its services as customer needs and banking habits change.

VinFast lowers ride-hailing entry cost with Rentapasada
VinFast Philippines and Green GSM are giving aspiring ride-hailing drivers a lower-cost route into business through Rentapasada, an electric vehicle rental program that requires an initial registration payment of ₱5,000.

The remaining deposit and transport network vehicle service registration fees may be paid gradually through deductions from the driver’s daily earnings. This reduces the amount needed at the start, which is often one of the largest barriers for Filipinos who want to enter the ride-hailing business.
The program turns the vehicle into an income-generating asset without requiring the driver to purchase it immediately. It also offers a possible route to ownership once the operator has established a steady business.

That approach reflects the importance of small enterprises to the local economy. Government data for 2023 showed that micro, small and medium enterprises accounted for 99.63 percent of registered establishments and nearly 67 percent of employment in the country.
Starting a transport business, however, requires far more capital than opening many other small ventures. A driver normally needs to cover the vehicle down payment, registration, insurance, maintenance and other operating expenses before accepting the first passenger.
Rentapasada replaces much of that initial expense with a fixed rental arrangement. Drivers may choose between the Herio Green at ₱1,050 per day and the seven-seat Limo Green at ₱1,350 per day.

VinFast said participating drivers retain 90 percent of their earnings during the first year and 85 percent in the second and third years. These earnings remain subject to the applicable daily rental and other charges under the program.
The rental agreement runs for five years and may be extended by another three. Drivers also have the option to buy the vehicle based on its residual value, allowing them to move from renting to owning instead of remaining under a recurring lease.
Using an electric vehicle can further reduce the cost of keeping a ride-hailing unit on the road. VinFast estimates that a Herio Green driven for 3,500 kilometers a month would consume about ₱5,600 worth of electricity based on standard residential charging rates.
The company compared this with a gasoline crossover covering the same distance and consuming about 238 liters of fuel, equivalent to an estimated monthly expense of ₱15,500. Based on those assumptions, the difference could reach more than ₱237,000 over two years.
For the larger Limo Green, VinFast placed the estimated two-year total cost of ownership at ₱1.37 million, compared with ₱1.53 million for a gasoline-powered MPV. That translates to potential savings of more than ₱162,000. Actual expenses will depend on charging rates, mileage, fuel prices and vehicle use.
Rentapasada drivers may also benefit from the number-coding exemption granted to electric vehicles under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act. The law provides the exemption for eight years from its effectivity in 2022, including similar schemes implemented by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and local governments. Republic Act 11697
While applicants still have to meet the program’s eligibility and registration requirements, the arrangement gives aspiring operators another way to enter ride-hailing without taking on the full cost of a vehicle at the beginning.
Interested drivers may obtain the complete requirements and application details through the official channels of VinFast Philippines and Green GSM Philippines.
