Toyota gave the world a first look at a bold Corolla concept at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, teasing a future where the bestselling nameplate can be sold as a full electric, hybrid, or gasoline model depending on local needs. The company framed the approach as a practical response to different energy realities around the world.

The show car wears a low, sleek fastback shape with sharp lines, a closed grille, and pixel-style light bars front and rear. Flush door handles and large aero wheels complete the aggressive look. Inside, there is a compact three-spoke steering wheel and multiple screens. A raised touchpad replaces the traditional shifter to open up space between the seats.

The Corolla’s appeal in the Philippines has always been real-world practicality—comfortable in EDSA traffic, composed on provincial highways, and cheap to run for families and TNVS-adjacent use.
