Lexus Levels Up in BGC

Lexus Philippines has opened the doors of its newest home, the Lexus Manila Gallery, located at Grand Central Park in North Bonifacio Global City. The new four-story facility represents the brand’s continued expansion in the country and its commitment to redefining customer experience through innovation and hospitality.

During the inauguration, Lexus Philippines Chairman Alfred V. Ty reflected on the brand’s 16-year journey since its local debut in 2009. He recalled the first showroom at 8th Avenue corner 34th Street in BGC, which became the foundation of Lexus’ growth and a space where Filipino customers first experienced omotenashi, the Japanese philosophy of treating guests with genuine warmth and respect.

Ty said Lexus now has more than 12,000 vehicles on Philippine roads. From five models during its early years, the lineup has grown to twelve today, including performance icons such as the LFA supercar. He described the new gallery as “larger, more modern, and designed for comfort and convenience.” The new facility, he added, offers guests a relaxed, gallery-style setting that embodies the brand’s craftsmanship and hospitality.

Lexus Philippines President Masando Hashimoto also underscored the brand’s growth, noting how annual sales rose from just 172 units in 2009 to 2,463 units in 2024. With that, Lexus captured a 53.5 percent share of the local luxury car market.

Hashimoto highlighted Lexus’ focus on sustainability, saying that 91 percent of the brand’s global sales now come from hybrid and electric models. He also pointed to concept vehicles like the next-generation LFA and the LF Chauffeur as examples of the company’s future direction in design and electrification.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Ty, Hashimoto, and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, joined by His Excellency Endo Kazuya, Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, and executives from Lexus Philippines.

“The opening of the new Lexus Manila Gallery shows our commitment to creating better experiences for our customers,” Hashimoto said. “It is a place where innovation meets hospitality.”
