GTA 6 preview hits Netflix after online leaks

San Francisco, United States | Rockstar Games has released a 26-minute preview of Grand Theft Auto 6 on Netflix, giving fans their longest official look yet at Vice City after clips from the game leaked online.

The preview follows lead characters Jason and Lucia, a criminal pair often compared with American outlaws Bonnie and Clyde.
It opens with Jason escaping a drug bust with a red duffel bag as Lucia joins him. On-screen symbols also suggest players can make the two characters hold hands.

The footage moves through car chases, shootouts, strip clubs and rooftop meetings across Vice City, the game’s fictional version of Miami.
GTA 6 is scheduled for release on 19 November following several delays. Rockstar originally planned to introduce the game in late 2025.

Demand for the title is expected to be high. Its predecessor, GTA 5, arrived in 2013 and has sold more than 200 million copies. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, has not disclosed the number of GTA 6 pre-orders.
Some Netflix users reported service outages when the preview appeared on Thursday. The video was also scheduled for release on YouTube later in the day.
Netflix and Rockstar previously worked together to offer older GTA titles through the streaming platform’s mobile gaming service.

The new footage arrived after GTA 6 clips began appearing online on 18 August. Rockstar described the leaks as “heartbreaking” and said it had not intended for players to see the game that way.
Take-Two has since secured court orders requiring Microsoft and Discord to provide information that could help identify the source. Two federal judges in New York approved the subpoena requests after the publisher claimed the leaked material reproduced copyrighted content.

The leaks have been linked to an account named Cyberleek. Its unidentified operator or operators claim they want to expose business practices within the gaming industry.
Take-Two has also drawn criticism from fans over its decision to release GTA 6 without physical copies. A more expensive version with additional content has also faced complaints.

Interest in the game has even reached the US military. A US Army unit reportedly offered eligible soldiers four days off to play GTA 6 if they extended their service by at least two years.
Military news outlet Task & Purpose reported that 20 of the 130 eligible soldiers accepted the offer.

Caltex puts Techcron to work

Motorists often pay close attention to oil changes, tire pressure and scheduled maintenance. However, Caltex says the fuel placed in the tank also plays a role in keeping an engine clean over time.
The first consideration should always be the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation. Drivers should check the required fuel type and octane rating before choosing a product at the pump.
Octane, however, is only one measure of fuel. Caltex said motorists should also consider the additives and cleaning technologies included in its formulation.
Deposits can gradually collect on some engine components. Fuels with detergent additives are designed to control this buildup and help maintain engine cleanliness. Different additives also provide different levels of cleaning and protection.
Caltex uses Techron across its local fuel range. Its formulation includes what the company calls Clean & Glide Technology, which is designed to prevent deposit buildup and reduce friction between metal surfaces inside the engine.
According to Caltex, these functions can help keep engine components clean and support consistent performance over an extended period.
The company’s Techron-powered lineup includes Caltex Platinum with Techron and Caltex Silver with Techron for gasoline-powered vehicles. Its diesel offerings include Caltex Diesel with Techron D and Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D.
Caltex said the technology is backed by decades of research and development under parent company Chevron.
While pump prices often influence where motorists refuel, Caltex recommends looking at more than the posted cost per liter. The required octane rating, fuel formulation and cleaning additives can also be considered when comparing available products.
Choosing the correct fuel still begins with the specifications listed in the vehicle’s manual. From there, motorists can assess the technologies offered by different brands and decide which formulation suits their engine-care priorities.
Caltex said its Techron-powered range provides one such option for drivers who want fuel designed to help manage deposits during everyday use.

TOYOTA ADDS 24/7 ROADSIDE COVERAGE

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) and the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) have introduced free 24/7 roadside assistance for eligible Toyota owners nationwide.
The program covers new Toyota Tamaraw and Lite Ace units sold beginning August 2026. Membership is valid for one year from the vehicle release date.
Customers must activate their membership through the QR code included with their membership card.
The package covers flat tire replacement, battery boosting, minor mechanical repairs at the breakdown site and emergency fuel delivery. Towing assistance is also included for one intervention or up to 25 kilometers to the nearest Toyota dealership.
The service gives Tamaraw and Lite Ace owners access to roadside help at any hour. Both models are commonly used by entrepreneurs, small businesses and families, which makes an unexpected breakdown more than a minor inconvenience.
The Tamaraw is locally assembled at Toyota’s manufacturing plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The Lite Ace, meanwhile, is available in several body configurations for commercial and personal use.
“AAP has been recognized for its commitment to road safety, a mission that Toyota deeply shares,” TMP President Masando Hashimoto said during the ceremonial contract signing on July 20.

“Through this program, we want our customers to know that help is available whenever they need it,” he added.
AAP President Augustus Ferreria said the partnership also supports the organization’s work in driver education and road discipline.
“It is our hope that every Toyota Tamaraw and Lite Ace owner will not only have peace of mind through AAP’s roadside assistance, but also become better and more disciplined drivers,” Ferreria said.
Toyota and AAP have previously worked together on road safety programs and the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup. The roadside assistance program extends that partnership directly to vehicle owners.
Eligible customers may contact an authorized Toyota dealership for registration and complete program details.

Michelin builds a stronger road network

Michelin is strengthening its Philippine distribution network through three specialized importer-distributors serving passenger vehicles, commercial mobility, and industrial applications.
The company introduced Bermaz Auto Philippines for passenger car tires, BSB Junrose for commercial mobility, and Icon Equipment Solutions Philippines for specialized segments such as mining, construction, agriculture, and beyond-road operations.

The new structure is designed to improve product access, technical support, and after-sales service as vehicle ownership, logistics, infrastructure projects, and industrial activity continue to grow in the country.
Michelin said the expanded network complements its existing partners while giving each customer group access to distributors with more focused expertise.

For passenger vehicle owners and dealerships, the arrangement is expected to improve access to vehicle-specific tire fitments. Commercial operators, meanwhile, can receive fleet-oriented support aimed at reducing downtime and improving service response.
Industrial and beyond-road customers will have access to tire knowledge suited to demanding environments, where equipment reliability and productivity directly affect project costs.

“By strengthening our distribution ecosystem, we are bringing greater expertise, stronger support, and more relevant solutions closer to the industries and communities that keep the Philippines moving,” said Jonathan Khong, managing director of Michelin Philippines.
The company said downtime can affect delivery schedules, construction projects, mining operations, and other businesses that depend on vehicles and heavy equipment. A more specialized support network allows Michelin to respond more closely to those operating requirements.

The Philippine expansion also reflects Michelin’s long-term investment in the local market. The company has more than 130 years of experience in engineered materials and operates in 175 countries.
Michelin said the Philippines remains an important market in its Asia-Pacific operations, with demand growing for premium mobility solutions across consumer and industrial sectors.

Its local distribution partners will support products and services for vehicle owners, dealerships, logistics companies, contractors, mining firms, and other businesses that rely on tires for daily operations.
The company’s goal is to help customers improve safety, efficiency, equipment performance, and operating value through stronger local access and technical assistance.
For a country where a stalled vehicle can delay an entire delivery route or project schedule, the right tire support is not a minor detail. Michelin’s expanded network is intended to keep more vehicles and businesses moving.
