XPENG has named actress, television host and recording artist Anne Curtis as its official brand ambassador in the Philippines, following her introduction at the electric vehicle maker’s local launch on September 25.

Curtis joined company executives at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, where XPENG unveiled six variants across its X9 Ultra-Intelligent Seven-Seater MPV and L03 Next-Generation AI SUV Coupe.

The event also featured previews of the X2 flying car and IRON humanoid robot, which demonstrate the company’s work on what it calls Physical AI.

XPENG said it selected Curtis to help introduce its electric vehicles and intelligent driving technologies to Filipino consumers.

“Anne brings together elegance, energy, intelligence, and authenticity,” said Hanna Tao, XPENG Southeast Asia marketing director.

“She is modern, stylish, and constantly evolving, while staying true to her audience. As we begin our journey in the Philippines, we are excited to have her as our partner in bringing XPENG’s premium and human-centered vision of intelligent mobility to Filipino drivers.”

Curtis said her interest in the brand began after driving the L03.

“Ever since I first drove the XPENG L03, I’ve wanted people to experience it for themselves. It’s smart, stylish, and makes every drive feel new and exciting,” she said.

“If you’ve been waiting for the right time to go electric, XPENG makes it so easy to say yes. I’m happy that more Filipinos will soon be able to drive an XPENG home.”

The appointment follows XPENG’s entry into the Philippine market through its first direct subsidiary in Southeast Asia.

Founded in China in 2014, XPENG develops its own artificial intelligence technologies, driver assistance systems, vehicle software, powertrains and electrical architecture.

According to the company, more than 40 percent of its workforce is assigned to research and development covering artificial intelligence, software, robotics and advanced mobility.

XPENG had established a presence in 60 countries and regions by the end of 2025. Its cumulative worldwide vehicle deliveries exceeded 1.2 million as of July 31, 2026.

The company continues to expand its international operations as it develops electric vehicles and other AI-powered machines.
